KB0159 - Display issue in ResourceFinder

Symptom

This issue can be seen in 3 sections of ResourceFinder: Locations, Categories and My Favorites.

Take Locations section as an example: If you click on “+” (to expand location nodes) or “–” (to collapse location nodes) for multiple times, the whole root node (Locations) is moved downward as in the following figure:

Cause

3 sections mentioned above use 3rd party library (DHTMLX) and this is a bug of this library.

Resolution

This issue only occurs in Internet Explorer 7, so if the client changes the execution mode to IE9+, it will be resolved.

Follow these steps to change execution mode in Registry:

Edit registry to use Feature Browser Emulation mode:

- Open Registry Editor.

- Go to the following destination:

32-bit Windows [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]
64-bit Windows [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]

- Create a new key with DWORD (32-bit) Value

Enter the appropriate value to the “Value data” field based on the version of Internet Explorer you are using:
