KB0099 - Orders are not handled correctly when booking virtual resources

 

Symptom

This issue can be seen when you book a virtual resource, and the issues that occur are as follows:

  1. Instead of one order, RC creates a certain number of orders in correspondence with the number of resources included in the virtual resource.
  2. Items and properties in the order are not inserted into the Database.
  3. Service Providers do not receive notification emails.

If you check in the Database (Reservations table) you can find that the value for Attendee column is NULL.

 

Cause

Normally, when an appointment is created, display names of all participants are added as an additional property by Exchange. But for this case, Exchange inserts the email addresses of all participants were instead. This led to the fact that RTS cannot insert correct data into RC Database.

 

Affected products

The defect is confirmed in RC 3.7 and RC 3.7.10

 

Resolution

RC 3.7 and RC 3.7.10 customers can upgrade to RC 3.7.10 SR2 to fix the described issue. In this recommended version, the dependence on Attendee column (filled by RTS) has been eliminated.
